In Pizza and Problems this wk at @umontana, a participant shared a rad proof for a puzzling problem. Turns out that the algebra is a bit of an overkill- a parity argument suffices. BUT: the algebra led us to fascinating new questions. It's so fun to #DoMathInMT

Inspired by this thread from @mpershan, we explored number crosswords in our Missoula @MathTeachCircle. They are rich mathematical objects! #DoMathInMT
My 3rd Graders have been loving these crossword puzzles from the Beast Academy books. But midway through last week I ran out of puzzles to give them! I had to figure out how to make them on my own.
