Slainte 🥂 to all the wonderful women carers, women with disabilities and the women who became our allies during this #CareRef. I hope you all enjoy the rest of this International Women's Day. It was an honour to meet you all. ❤️

My ancestor, Michael Collins, did not fight off Godzilla in 1916 for you to sit at home & not vote! Get your arse up & perform your civic duty! And attached are the only 5 candidates who fought against the discriminatory CareRef & supported ppl with disabilities & Carers.

Next week we've a #CareRef that aims to swap misogyny for ableism. Care should not stop at the family. We need a caring society. The #CareAmendment is dangerous if we want to address inequality. Some of the most vulnerable people are asking us to say no. We should respect that.

As we prepare to vote tomorrow, some of the most vulnerable people in society are asking us to vote #YesNo. We must listen to them. #CareRef gets it badly wrong & will swap misogyny for ableism. Care is a social good. It shouldn't stop at the family.

Today would be a very different day if the government had accepted the PBP amendment to the wording of the #CareRef. #Referendum2024

Tom Clonan is absolutely right. The wording on the #CareRef, taken with Leo Varadkars car crash interview, was taken straight out of Margaret Thatchers playbook.

If you’re wavering on how to vote this week it’s important to know that the Citizens Assembly did not recommend the text put forward for the #CareRef. They wanted an obligation for the state to support disabled people, not the ableist language on the ballot. Please #VoteYesNo

On the care referendum it's a NO from me ... Does not advance care for those with vulnerabilities ... Proud of the advocacy of @TomClonan #CareRef

I’ll be voting NO in the #CareRef - it’s a cynical, sneaky & ham-fisted attempt to change the constitution in a manner that is counter to the interests of citizens, in particular carers & the most vulnerable. This is an excellent overview: https://t.co/MpLEfCzkCh

There are many reasons for the poor quality of debate around the #CareRef & #FamilyRef. But one is that people feel that the meaning of phrases in the Constitution should always be crystal clear. This is understandable, but it is also to misunderstand constitutions 1/9

All mná or no mná! Don't throw our disabled sisters and their carers under the bus in the upcoming referendum. As a carer and a feminist I will be #YesNo Please do your research before you vote in the #CareRef @AccessForAll7 @TomClonan

I hope that @NWCI, @TENI_Tweets and every “progressive” activist and organisation who went along with a deeply ableist text for the #CareRef and supported Yes/Yes are taking a long hard look at themselves. Your place in the progressive coalition is hanging by a single thread.

When carers, PLWD, parents of children with disabilities or additional needs, had to share their stories to get you to question whether the state had their best interests at heart during the #CareRef you listened. Now that a general election is looming, please don't forget us.

It’s easy to be disillusioned with politics. Until you come across someone like .@mulvanypeopleb1 in Dublin Bay North. He was one of only 6 politicians to support ppl with disabilities in the CareRef & he gets it. Vote for him in #DBN

Catherine Connolly stood up for People with Disabilities & Carers & fought the discriminatory CareRef - one of only 2TDs to do so. She was re-elected. Galway knows a good woman when they see her! Comhghairdeas!

Well said @TomClonan This #CareLess administration despite losing the #CareRef are continuing to punish families attempting to get services for their disabled loved ones by suggesting the disability is “within” the person and family. Outdated views that are insulting to witness
