Re-Re-Introducing Stronghold, our entry for the Final Stage of the @FACEITcs @Mapcore @CounterStrike Big Adventure Contest. I am very happy with the work that was done on the map and glad to have been able to work with everyone to make this map come to life!
STRONGHOLD 🇬🇮 is now fully released! With the @FACEITcs @Mapcore @CounterStrike Mapping Contest coming to an end, we’ve just released the final version of our map. I’m extremely proud of the work done by @haaselh0ff, @_KaleMonkey and @Squidski_ to bring this map to life!!

Today on the menu: the journey of Alpine, another one of the maps in the top 10 of our Big Adventures Contest. Alpine is made by @Lukyvald, zavaro, @iiTwinx and @g3ometryArt and set in a snowy ski resort. ⛷️ The video was made by Ketal.

Congrats on the release - another interesting rendition of the classic map. I really do hope however Cache does not return to Active Duty. CS2 needs new maps, not a constant return to the safe, old and frankly stale.

We are in no particular order presenting the journey to the top 10 maps in our Big Adventures Contest. Today we are starting with Golden, a map made by vachinsky and wavybby, set on a remote island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. 🌊 The video was made by @meddson01.

Sad day yesterday for my LTT backpack. Zipper Track just ripped in two after the bag fell off a chair and I guess landed just the right way to rip the entire thing. Temp fix with some baby pins but this thing is definitely not long for this world :( @LinusTech @linusgsebastian

Maybe a hot take, but forcefully removing 128tick is IMO one of the best things Valve has ever done for CS. For most purposes it was impossible to actually tell a difference and it unnecessarily split the playerbase
Seems like CS2 hardcoded the tickrate in the client binary, so even if server binary is patched (they got rid of GetTickInterval function which made this easy), it shouldn't matter. Valve should be improving stuff that is subpar, rather than bruteforcing it with 128 tick.

Happy bday @CounterStrike ! Late 2020, I got my first map Frostbite added into the game which was sick so i upgraded my PC with the money and then Vineyard got added and I was like YO and upgraded my PC again and now it's just like an addiction but w/ getting lower compile times
