At least since the 1970s, young women expected to marry at higher rates than young men. But that's changed in recent years, spurred by a dramatic decline among young women in marriage expectations.

Children from the peak of the divorce revolution were somewhere between 25 and 30 in 2010, just before age-of-marriage adjusted divorce rates really started to fall. Perhaps one cause is such children saying no to that life for their own children, or avoiding marriage entirely.
