My 9 year old son held the door open for two different women on this dark rainy night. The first laughed and said are you a doorman or what? And the second said, oh don’t bother I got it.
Women, a door held open is gift - accept the courtesy with kindness!
Our family no longer consents to masking children in schools. For a special needs family, just moving to private school/homeschool isn’t so easy or clear cut. I am unapologetic in my goal to unmask kids in Illinois.
This week the IL Governor dismissed me as a parent, saying that I’m being swindled and part of a “reign of terror”. My family is a named plaintiff. I am unapologetic in my pursuit of due process and to end forced masking of children in IL. See you in court,
@GovPritzker
Overheard two dads at youth basketball game in Naperville where 95% of fans and kids were not masked, “last week it was nearly 💯compliance and a week later nobody is masked? You mean we all did this for this long and no one actually wanted to?”
Two months ago, my children’s doctor out of
@NorthwesternMed
told me w/ the current data, she would not recommend a covid vaccine for my three soon-to-be eligible children. The reason? The data doesn’t support it. I’ll be curious to see what everyone’s pediatricians say come Nov.
@BillboardChris
How did the adults raised in my generation growing up listening to Mr Rogers (it's you I like, The way you are right now) move away from teaching children they are just right and wonderfully made, and instead facilitate this horror. These stories break my heart.
My 10year old bringing up valid issues that come with masks. Communication breakdown with others and teachers. Mask fatigue. Missing smiles. Lack of breaks. Wearing them outdoors when no one else is. Wondering if teachers are standing up for them - Another year of this Illinois?
at minute 13:59, Naperville teen thanks leadership, “Thank you for teaching me that being a morally superior person only requires that I cover my face for eight hours a day and that the most morally superior people wear two masks, or even three masks…”
Visited a small Lutheran church this morning in North Dakota. Average age, 70. Cold winter day, wind chill 5*F. Men in suits, shaking hands greeting us. Singing loudly in four part harmony “I will trust in you and not be shaken”. No masks. What an encouragement.
“Statutory rights have attempted to be bypassed through the issuance of Executive Orders and Emergency Rules … This type of evil is exactly what the law was intended to constrain.” - Judge Grischow
My 10yr old went to bed last night in a reflective mood. She said remember B4 covid, I was a little kid. Now I’m a fifth grader, and it feels like all the fun is kind of ending isn’t it. Is being a kid over? And I wonder if I protected that space of innocence and childhood enough
Another Illinois girlfriend confirmed today, they are moving in the spring out of state. Their choice, Missouri. Husband can work remote indefinitely, two elementary age kids. Homeschooled this year to avoid masks, and excited about their fresh start out of IL.
Our family 401k is on the ballot this fall. Being blocked from entering museums and restaurants based on a vax card is on the ballot this fall. Our children being called an ENEMY OF THE STATE is on the ballot this fall. Listen if you don’t remember —>
You know you’re onto something when the FOIA officer of a state institution send the results of the FOIA to
@GovPritzker
’s office before they send it to you. 🤔
Our Naperville mayor is ready to join team reality! Welcome aboard. I mean this with all honesty, I welcome anyone who is just coming to this conclusion now. Let’s hope that this turns into advocating for kids too.
What Illinois school district will be the first school in 2022 to take the advice of the lawyers today and vote in a mask optional policy in place defying the
@GovPritzker
mask mandate?
We all know he despises reporter
@AmyJacobson
, but honestly with no end to the mask mandate in sight….
@GovPritzker
looks pretty foolish here. Does he talk to other females like this?
A friend just told me - now my son can wear his glasses. He couldn’t do glasses and masks, so he hasn’t worn his glasses since this all began. Let the healing begin.
Watched both
@GovPritzker
press confs today & he’s got a messaging problem. Friday he was hopeful and said looking at removing masks & Monday he’s touting mask-test-vax, blah blah blah. No vision for
#urgencyofnormal
he seems to be taking direction from … unions? 🤔😄
All the adults in this court room have seemingly forgotten that we are talking about five year olds wearing masks for a full day. Like it’s nothing. Everyone in this courtroom has had multiple mask breaks in a 2 1/2 hours that they have spoken. Multiple.
Naperville 203 was asked why a child who recently recovered from Covid should continue to wear a mask, snd they replied with CDC guidance, “Cloth face coverings may provide reassurance to others in public settings and be a reminder of the need to maintain social distancing.”
@Naperville203
parent asks school board if instead of a
@PanoramaEd
survey (being administered this week) the school district ask vital questions on the affect of the COVID-19 response on kids - masking, school closures and adult hypocrisy
@GovPritzker
. Listen in.
@AsraNomani
'I watched and felt like my entire life was falling apart because of what this government did to young people.'
Welcoming the removal of face coverings in schools, political commentator Sophie Corcoran breaks down as she recalls her experience of wearing a mask in the classroom.
Remember that all the chaos that is to happen in the next few weeks in Illinois and in schools is because of the Governor’s heavy handedness. This is not the fault of parents, teachers or administrators.
Vacationing with an 8th grader today who just ranted, “I hate SEL so much. Every week they ask us about our emotions, and teach you about our emotions. How about just let us have our lunch recess and talk w/ other kids!” 🤷🏼♀️
So, after months-n-months-n-months of tyrannical covid-19 mandates - including vax orders for healthcare workers and teachers - Pritzker now wants voters to believe he’s all about “Balance of Power” and “The Actual Law”? That’s rich.
@ewoodhouse7
The 10, 6 and 2 year old pictured are holding
@GovPritzker
back 😂. Their bares faces will close down businesses & shut down schools. Beware, Illinois. (The 8 year old in the family was more interested in shooting hoops outside 🏀) thanks
@chicagotribune
for covering our case.
A Nassau County Supreme Court case, Index No. 616124/2021, just ruled that the
@HealthNYGov
regulations pertaining to masks in schools (10 NYCRR 2.60; 2.60[a]) are unconstitutional. Our office will be issuing a Chief School Memorandum based on this ruling for all clients.
“Ok kindergarteners, let’s go over our vowel and consonant sounds. Oh you can’t hear me? Oh, shoot that’s too bad. Maybe next year.” - Illinois schools.
@ISBEnews
@ISBESupt
Gov Pritzker just now says we need to keep a tool in our toolkit to mask up kids again for the next variant. Anyone from Twitter who was there protesting outside and have pics? 👏🏻
Vaccine passports are happening in IL as a “thank you” to those who did everything “right” (and still got covid), and a “punishment” to those who didn’t do the right thing. This will affect kids and their mental health most at a time when we certainly shouldn’t be messing w/ it.
Illinois parents, the White House has said 1) Everyone will get Covid 2) It’s futile to try figure out who you got it from.
Your school guidelines coming out should reflect this.

INCONCLUSIVE - get masks off kids now. No statistical difference. Only harms. People who forced the masking in America/IL, for kids as young as 2, have to be held accountable now.
BBC: Government study finds schools mandating masks had no statistical benefit; "94% of school leaders and teachers saying [masks] made communication between teachers and pupils more difficult. Some 80% of pupils also said it made communication harder”
“Faces were created by God, and they matter to Him” - Concerned parent and teacher Alicia O’Connell speaks to the Wheaton, IL 200 board last night of her experiences talking to middle schoolers on endless masking.
For those interested, the parent/student hearing against Gov Pritzker will continue on January 20th in Sangamon Co. 021 CH 500002 Judge: GRISCHOW RAYLENE
@DeAngelisCorey
@TheEconomist
I still maintain that tweets like these would be better suited on yard signs and billboards throughout Chicagoland than most candidate signs themselves.
Judge Grischow to Plainfield school lawyer - “If you have independent authority to requires masks, why did you (school districts) never require the masks for the flu?”
Who has the most to lose when a judge rules that mandatory Covid19 testing is illegal? What percentage of testing in Illinois do you suppose is mandatory or coerced? 🤔
Just an absolutely amazing admission here. An MSNBC reporter notes that the biggest challenge for Democrat governors ending their mask mandates is that liberals have made mask-wearing such an important part of their identity that they might not be able to give it up.
State Rep. Dan Ugaste, R-Geneva, asked the Illinois House today to support his legislation limiting the governor's authority. He can’t get Dems to move it out of committee.
“School officials in Eureka Community Schools said Illinois’ current COVID-19 mandates aren’t what’s best for kids. Board President Chad Leman said mandates have had effects on kids’ mental health and have affected the community.”
🧵- It was a fascinating week of watching somewhat from the sidelines as parents realized Naperville 203 was moving from hiding behind the Gov mandate to citing their own mask policy. They continue require masks for the 16,500+ students, leaving only my three kids to mask choice
Was at the mall w/ my ten year old, she was noticing a lot of teens expressing themselves w their outfits. I was telling her about freedom of expression in America and how that includes how we dress. Without missing a beat she said forcing someone to wear a mask is illegal then.
Internal emails from the Illinois Department of Public Health suggest Prtizker is looking into adding the covid shot to the list of school vaccines through a process that doesn’t involve full Legislative approval. New from
@ewoodhouse7
Today in Effingham County, IL, the court extended the injunction against
@ISBEnews
. ISBE is still barred from implicating recognition status of schools for not having a mask mandate policy.
IL Journalists, please ask
@GovPritzker
: “What specifically in public policy would the IL general assembly need to address so that you would commit to ending monthly Covid emergency orders?”
Just got the text, Naperville 203 “is looking forward to welcoming our students back to school and In-Person Learning on Thursday, Jan. 6” as planned. Good news!
These are the questions thousands of parents in IL have. This proposed amendment is so broad, and basically w/o limit, what our school officials could do in the name of COVID-19 safety.
