Wants kicked out of the sport. He’s only “terribly sad” because he was caught out. Could of done some life changing injuries. Something similar happened at the Ecuador derby and the jockey was banned for life

Might be appreciated by the punters but I don’t know one person who’s happy to be leading up at 8.30 at wolves. And with Sunday evening racing fast approaching, I guarantee before the end of next year there’s going to be a major staff crisis in racing . Nobody thinks about us

Lost my job this week too, my own fault because Instead of being truthful about my mental breakdown I made excuses up for not coming in. Probably a blessing in disguise as I wasn’t happy since losing fatboy and I was only there for him. Maybe a new career is needed

Being referred to my local mental health team, doctors said they’ll push it to be done sooner than later. Going to take a few weeks off work while I get sorted then I might give grant tuer a ring for a few mornings a week. Keep my foot in the door

Seeing Fatboy happy and settled thanks to

has made my day. Nearly 3yrs together, 6 days a week, 4 falls and 2 broken ribs. The most stubbornness horse I sat on but he was honest and never ran a bad race. Still hurts not seeing him in his stable everyday 😔

This is my cocktail every night for my head. I'm single dad who still gets up, goes to work, smile, laugh and make other people laugh while battling fierce war in my head. I'm lucky to carry on, some are not. But fatboy takes my pain away for a few hours

Well he tried his best and we have no excuses. He did everything right and ran to his best ability for a class 2 race. I’m still very proud of him and we will come back bigger better and stronger. The story is far from over. Now he’s going to enjoy a month off. Thank you everyone

I was always told in racing, no.1 rule is don’t get attached.
But when you with them day in, day out, it becomes a problem. You can’t understand them, they understand you and you become connected.
It’s the most rewarding job but can also be the most heartbreaking job
My apologies to anyone/everyone who saw me crying at Tattersalls earlier as our 4 went through the ring. It’s impossible not to become attached. Anyone who thinks racehorses are unloved ought to spend an hour at the back of the sales ring I’ve seen a lot of tears this week.

A horse came down at the last at punchestown and the jockey got up and walked away from it….it laid down but thankfully it got up but you don’t just walk away, you make sure the horse is fine and if not stay with it until someone can

To me, horses are overgrown dogs.
They’re the most loyalist animals you’ll find, treat them with respect and they will love you just as much as you love them. Treat them wrong, and they can be nasty
Great councillors too who will listen to you everyday problems.
