Redcar Racecourse is 150 years old today. Malton trainer Bill Elsey won 4 Zetland Gold Cups with Henry the Seventh (1962), Brother Scot (1969), Peleid (1973), & K Battery (1985). He also won the first Andy Capp Handicap in 1963 with Dion. Happy birthday to us!

You think your folks will go on forever but we all know that can’t be the case. My Dad passed away peacefully overnight in Yorkshire holding the hands of Mum & my sister Lizzie. A life very well lived & well loved. We’ll miss you Dad. Edward Hide 12 April 1937 - 7 September 2023.
