@wesstreeting for the past year has blamed everyone from Tory’s to Resident Drs to GPs to even Farage for the state NHS is in-REFUSING to take ACCOUNTABILITY As SOS for Health he alone is responsible for mismanagement of NHS-from RD strikes to GP access issues all his failures
For the NHS, it’s another escalation in a destructive cycle brought about by an inexperienced health secretary, advised by people who want us to make the same mistakes they made 20 years ago. It’s time for a change.

The NHS is a core issue for Labour. Many supporters will expect Streeting to defend and strengthen it... ... actually, he's attacked it with his 'broken' message and weakened it with chaotic reforms.

er ... If it isn't Big Brother then why do the following legislations all converge into a Data bank 'You file' ▪️Data (Use & Access) Act 2025 – enables digital ID verification services, Smart Data schemes, and rewrites data-sharing rules. ▪️One Login – a single government

@ClareGerada’s policy to let PAs work as defacto GPs was catastrophic. People died. It was such a poor decision that @lengreview and @rcgp reversed the policy almost entirely. That Labour rewarded her with a peerage tells you everything about @wesstreeting’s plans for the NHS.

GP practice here for 100years Area Health Authorities, Governments, NHS 5 year, 10 year plans, PCTs, CCGs, ICBs all have come & gone or are going GPs have always been there despite expensive reorganisations, Govt plans GPs will be there unless @wesstreeting ends them for all

Is that really how you’re going to play this @SKinnock ? By being rude & patronising, & insult the very ppl propping up NHS general practice? If I didn’t care so much about my patients & the GPs following on behind me I’d be very tempted to walk away from the NHS right now. 1/2
We are now expanding access by allowing patients to make booking requests online - with 85% of practices already delivering this. Sadly a rump of refuseniks in the BMA are dragging their feet, but we will never let the forces of conservatism turn our NHS into a museum.

Naughty, naughty, Welsh Water tell @Channel4News the state of the River Wye has nothing to do with them... and they're "not like the water companies in England". Well let me remind @DwrCymru that last year alone they spent 14,640 hours dumping sh*t into the Wye and as a company

So the thought of cancelling operations for resident doctors strikes is “wholly wrong” according to Jim Mackey. However dressing up a minister in scrubs and using an operating theatre for an interview is somehow necessary.

"Anglian Water ordered to pay £63m for sewage failures An investigation by Ofwat found that the company had systematically failed to manage its wastewater treatment assets effectively since 2017." So here's one of @Ofwat's little tricks, note the "since 2017". That's the period

There’s a scandal unfolding in the NHS. Thousands of doctors are being locked out of training jobs; left unemployed, unable to become GPs or consultants. All while patients wait months for care. @wesstreeting knows this. So why is he refusing to act? https://t.co/lTtmhcyrez

I don’t usually comment on staffing decisions - especially within the Civil Service - but I feel compelled to speak out about on the reported appointment of David Dinsmore. My statement 👇

I studied medicine for five years and only truly understood the NHS after working in it. Wes Streeting studied history, has never worked a day in healthcare, nearly lost his seat — yet he’s now running our health system It’s time the health secretary was a medical professional
This unnecessary doctors’ strike will hurt patients, the NHS and doctors themselves. ✍🏻 @guardian

Kemi Badenoch earns £96,000 a year as an MP. She lives with her multimillionaire banker husband in Wimbledon. Kemi claims £36,400 a year for rent & council tax for a second home in Essex. Kemi doesn’t believe that junior doctors are worth £22 an hour.

We can't afford to lose doctors. @RachelReevesMP, the chancellor, said last year that resolving the doctor pay dispute is "a drop in the ocean" for the government. Paying doctors 22.67£/hr to keep them here is a no brainer.
Doctors are fleeing the NHS. Every year, 20 000 doctors are leaving the profession prematurely - many because their pay no longer reflects the weight of the job. The real question isn’t whether we can afford to pay doctors. It’s whether we can afford the cost of losing them.

Now we know why @wesstreeting refuses to negotiate with NHS staff. He wants the strikes to go ahead, so he can blame doctors and nurses for his failure.
