JVP for MBBS students. See a sharp “flicker” wave in JVP.This is the prominent “a wave” due to strong right atrial contraction. Inferences from the finding are 1.Atrium contracting against stenotic tricuspid valve or 2. Atrium contracting against a stiff RV as in severe PH or PS.
