Kinda got me thinking, there should be a stat that measures opposition team shifts relative to a player, i.e. Hazard’s gravity creates so much space for others to a point where a simple pass allows Kanté a first time shot. That kinda gravity is invaluable & needs to be quantified
This is why eye test prevails man, Hazard had 3 man on him and done superbly well here to find Kante but none of that context gets noted down, just an assist and a key pass (not even a BCC) for his brilliance
