Thanks for the correction. I declined the pension the day I took office. I don’t begrudge others who made a different choice. The important thing is to reform the system for everyone, namely, by ending congressional pensions.
One reader was nice enough to find a 12 year old article which chopped the legs out from under my tweet. So I will post it here, as it shows that Gov. Ron DeSantis didn't want his pension that he earned from his 5+ years in Congress.
