Water quality is once again good on the south shore (it’s passed water quality 92% of the time this year so far), looks like a good day for a swim.
What was originally designed as a beach by Michael Hough is now filled with rubble and is inaccessible and unsafe. We will honour Hough’s original vision and create a clean, accessible and beautiful beach upwards of 10x bigger than the beach on the south side of the island now.

Ontario Place’s West Island can be improved. The soil is contaminated. Too much of the area is paved and old fast-food franchises sit empty. That’s why we are investing in building more parkland and an expanded shoreline for everyone to enjoy year-round.

All around the West Island and Pods at Ontario Place this evening - hundreds of swallows. Above the trees, skimming above the surface of the lake, and scoping out nests.
