Blockbuster was rubbish. The local video store had copies of foreign movies, movies that had been on TV once in 1977, Blaxploitation, stuff PBS gave away in pledge drives, adult section obscured by beads, etc. Blockbuster had 800 copies of Independence Day 🙄

60 Minutes“could not find criminal records” for 75% of the 238 men the Trump admin sent to a Salvadoran prison. Of the 22% that had records, the “vast majority are for non-violent offenses.” Trump admin still insists they’re “terrorists.” Moral bankruptcy https://t.co/4eBW8cmAuV

The U.S. sent 238 Venezuelan migrants to a Salvadoran mega-prison. The Trump administration says they're all gang members, but 60 Minutes could find no criminal records for 75% of them.

This is right. "Lecturing is bad pedagogy" has become received wisdom among the Pedagogy Gurus in recent years, and I really do wonder how much of this emergent common sense about what good teaching looks like is just retrofitting to a brave new world of Phone Broken Brains.
"Lecturing is ineffective." I mean, if the students have never been required to pay attention to a lecture, and professors have never been required to write and deliver one, then yeah . . . I'll bet lectures are ineffective!"

U.S. officials went door-to-door in Greenland to find anyone who wanted to be visited by the Vances. They found no one. https://t.co/hsQGCH71bX

This might be more than a one day story in the mainstream press. Maybe even two or three days. But I doubt it will warrant the year-long all-day every-day front page coverage that Hillary's emails inspired. I mean, come on, that was a MUCH bigger deal.

My four-year-old gets anxious whenever he has to take his nap in the daycare’s makeshift bomb shelter, which is almost daily. He also gets anxious whenever we wake him up in the middle of the night to take him to the bathroom because there are explosions outside our home. STFU.
Today while walking my 3 year old daughter a group of “Slava Ukraini” protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared. I decided to speak with the protesters in the hopes that I could trade a few minutes of conversation for them

Admittedly, this idea made me laugh, so I had to draw it. It will make sense to fans of Golden Age comics. As for the rest of you, please check the comments. 😁
