account abstraction is an afterthought. As with many other gaps, the workaround has been stacking layers of middleware on top, but they still can’t escape the network’s underlying constraints. the account model in web3 should feel like web2. Nothing in physics makes familiar
After spending the past year working on account abstraction, I’ve realized that—unlike L2s—it didn’t actually require any major research breakthrough to make it work. Looking back, I think we should have prioritized making it a native feature of Ethereum many years ago.

custom sequencing is very close to a solved problem in our view. The key is governance and and how to execute the rules in a way that’s enforced by "code is law". and btw payments are a basic workflow that scales infinitely. They’re a natural use case for custom sequencing, if a

a seasoned smart contract engineer at a top crypto product company told me he spends 5% of his time actually writing smart contracts, and 95% stitching together off-chain infrastructure. sound familiar?
