"Generalized" L1s of today are like Nokia Symbian phones of the 2000s. Sorta programmable but barely had apps due to inherited restrictions of cell phones (buttons etc). Today's L1s are still glorified ledgers, yet we wonder why there are no apps. Where is our iPhone moment?

This is not a Solana-only problem. It's just Goodhart's Law in action. If you make a metric the goal, it eventually becomes a useless metric. TVL, DAW, TPS, etc. Every chain has some form of vanity.
Solana's low fees have created the ultimate "fake it till you make it" environment. One bot just sent nearly 11 million transactions in 30 days. The most interesting part? It failed 99.95% of the time. So, who cares about a bunch of failed transactions? They don't just vanish.

You know some people need to focus right?.Tweeting takes effort. Founder led marketing while also doing founder led product development is like level 1000 boss fight. But I guess this is what our industry demands 😒. Hopefully in future our products can speak for themselves.
I don’t understand people who work in the Solana eco and don’t tweet. This is where the community is. You need to communicate, you need to be visible. If you’re not, then you’re not here. Nobody knows who you are, what you’re doing, or what you stand for.

As a new founder I now have great respect for teams trying to maintain technological agility while growing a vibrant ecosystem. It's hard. Swing too far in a direction and you become a "professor chain" or a "marketer chain". @solana found a balance and I respect them for it.
@itachee_x @SuiNetwork @solana @Mysten_Labs sui definitely has good tech but not a 10x improvement from Solana imo and tech isn't enough. they failed to build an ecosystem like solana could.

I'd put @SuiNetwork above @solana in terms of tech innovation. @solana culture = ship just enough of what users want (reactive). @Mysten_Labs = ship things before users even know they want it (proactive). Both tactics have pros & cons. PS: I worked at Mysten so def biased.
Solana attracts the smartest engineers and minds in the space because it’s the only blockchain ecosystem still focused on tech and innovation. Everyone else just gave up or made an L2 and called it a day.
