@jasonleitch can I ask about NIV in the community? NHS policy is that NHS staff need PPE3 when with a patient on NIV. Is this the case for carers (non NHS) in the community employed by families through direct payments?

Received this letter signed by a group of carers, many of them I have known over the years & respect greatly. I want them to know the Scot Govt understands your fears & anxieties. We are mindful of any decisions we make & ensuring they don't adversely impact our most vulnerable.

I have Covid. The breathlessness is awful. I’m caring for a child with a severe learning disability. @MattHancock you NEED to prioritise unpaid carers for the vaccine. Those caring for family at home. I’ve lost respite care, school and I’m ill. What happens to those we care for?

Can you understand for a second what it’s like to live in constant fear? Not just of the virus but of the prospect of being so ill that I can’t support my husband..knowing that his needs may not be met safely in a broken care system? To be so scared that you feel sick every day?

So tell me @JeaneF1MSP @NicolaSturgeon @jasonleitch ..what happens to my husband if I get sick? The only place able to understand and meet his needs is the Spinal Unit. An acute unit. Why are carers not being vaxed more quickly? As key workers? #valuemycare

This means that my hubby likely to get vaxxed prob next month. I probably won’t be vaxxed until Spring = shielding prob until later summer (almost 18 months). Vax us as familly units.
Unpaid carers in Scotland are prioritised for the COVID-19 vaccines under group 6. To answer some of your questions about the vaccine, the National Carer Organisations & @SG_CarersPolicy have produced a FAQ which can be download from here 👉 https://t.co/0Np4tBYXPg
