This is a huge strategic move. Now anyone who pays for @Zoom gets access to tons of high quality apps, free for a year. I think this will strengthen this new ecosystem and show people that there can be a lot more to meetings. (And pumped that @getsesh was chosen.).

Sesh is built around a visual agenda. It's fluid and dynamic, and it creates shared awareness of time. It's full of prebuilt activities like icebreakers, votes, and brainstorms that actually engage.

Managing the clock. Making meetings feel inclusive and engaging. Interrupting the long-winded. Producing outcomes and following up. They're all part of this pillar of __process__. And no has built software from the ground up to make process better. Until now.

💡Meetings are most valuable activity in the modern workplace, but software hasn't caught up. Video conferencing + calendars are now solid, but now the problems are in different, third pillar.

I believe any mainstream meeting solution still needs to have the magic of a great meetings. People are hungry to interact live, in real-time, at the highest bandwidth. Especially now. We need meetings, they just have to be done right.

Everyone I talk to knows this meeting pain, but the solutions are often superficial. The number of times we tried (and then lapsed) "No Meetings Wednesdays" is more than I can count.

Companies make a huge investment in hiring smart, talented people, but meeting culture eats up more than half of all that time and energy. Some people never get time to speak in meetings, and so many folks are forced to do their creative work after hours. It's bonkers.
