Many of us are trying, but we're all stuck on the first step: coming up with the perfect name for the project.
There was no good competitor to Kubernetes this year, meaning it continues to be one of the most grudgingly accepted tools. Startups in 2023 continued to provide great abstractions and ergonomics around k8s (e.g. Acorn, Raduis), but I’m still excited for a big shift.

Update! I finally have a thread to pull on. I just got another one of these emails, but this time the man's son was CC'd. I'm going to try emailing the son...

We just released acorn v0.9.0 which drops the CUE and uses the new language I wrote, called AML. I want to be clear, that at this moment I think the language is of no particular interest to anyone outside of acorn users. More to come.
