this is a Cohiba Diplomatico Bohio from Cuba from the late-1960s!! it is a personalised cigar box given to very special guests of Fidel Castro. the rumors are that this was made to hold the chess pieces for the formal tournament. only 200 of these boxes have been made...ever!
Carrying on sorting through my grandfather's chess library and this is by far the most spectacular find. A chess house/set from the 1966 Chess Olympiad. Anyone know the story behind this?
