Trump’s new executive order on “unbiased AI” calls for truth-seeking and ideological neutrality. Good goals. But when the government gets to define those terms, the risk is trading one orthodoxy for another.

Epistemic collapse.
AI using AI as a source of information has made Google search full of errors and therefore useless. Google eliminated the most useful tool (especially for language workers) which was the number of hits for a phrase or a group of words. Instead, the AI search engine just makes up.

Scarcity agenda.
What a scoop from the Post. The One Big, Beautiful Bill Act would force the USPS to sell off its 7,200 EV delivery vehicles and *rip up post office facilities/lots* to uninstall their chargers. The chargers have no real market value so it’s just incinerating public dollars.
