Gardaí are appealing to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 87-year-old Sheila Rice who was last seen near Athy Road in Carlow, shortly before 4pm on Saturday, 11th February 2023.

Spare a thought for our emergency services tonight - fire and gardai. They have been flat out responding to calls. Fireworks, bangers, a couple of cars set on fire, a house fire in Carlow. I’m so grateful for rain, could’ve been even worse. When will people cop on.

Another reason to visit Carlow. Swan’s sunflower farm! It’s a fabulous family enterprise with younger ones involved and all. Farmer doesn’t use any pesticides and allows you to pick and bring flowers home for a small fee. Amazing walk and views.

Did my first adult camping holiday in Ireland this summer. We had a spectacular week. River Valley Wicklow & IOAC Rosslare were our destinations for six nights in a tent. I’m so surprised - top class facilities and attractions. I’d recommend to all families.
