To clarify a bit, it appears from other countries' experiences that nuclear power can be affordable but is only rarely the least expensive alternative and is highly unlikely to ever get near "too cheap to meter" territory.

Always happy to see promising new tech actually being deployed. I do have a question: Now that "long-duration" apparently means 10 to 12 hours, what do we call the storage we need to get through cloudy weather and seasonal cycles? Super-long duration?.

Is 90-10 the best way to think about it?. Or 80-20, or 70-30?. I suspect the better model is a continuum, where challenges grow while technologies improve all along the way. And we need to have lots of people focused on each and every time scale.
