Disingenuity at its peak! The wordplay where the Taliban are not explicitly criticised and the MEA made culpable would make Vyshinsky proud.
Every journalist irrespective of gender should raise his/her voice against the way in which female journalists were kept away from Taliban press conference. Institutionalised gender discrimination is unacceptable on Indian soil: can’t hide behind the cloak of Vienna Convention on

Shows the lack of brains. The presser was in the Afghan Embassy organised by the Taliban. How does this reflect India's priorities?
‘Shows India’s priorities’: Women journos on being barred from Taliban minister’s presser We spoke to women Journos who waited outside. https://t.co/6OxbkNGeaA

JP Mehra, a retired Bhopal PWD engineer. Humble background, modest salary. But that didn’t stop Mehra from chasing his dreams. He worked hard, and with the help of his dedication, belief, efforts, and just a little bit of corruption, he achieved so much that when the Lokayukta

There is a point about R&D I make repeatedly: R&D is not expensive but time intensive and best results are achieved by teams who stay committed long term. American companies solved the need for long term committed people with the H1-B visa and the extremely long green card

This is a good example of the soft bigotry of low expectations. Do 80% of Indians behave like this? If they had, those spots would have been the clean spots and the rest covered in betel juice!
Can't expect 80 crore Indians living on ration to behave like the 2% who own the entire country. Addressing why so many people need addictions to get through life is too much for a theocracy to attempt but govt could easily ban the most harmful tobacco products, if they wanted to

"Half a million dead"? No wonder no one believes you any longer!
“Where is the Pro-Palestine crowd? Why aren’t they out in the streets rejoicing this ceasefire” Because we are mourning the half a million dead, you fucking ghouls. What do you want is the celebrate? The ethnic cleansing? The dead? Also, we don’t believe Israel will stop.

Very beautifully explained. New MRTS including @MumbaiMetro3 is going to redefine city. As regards telecom connectivity, state of d art common telecom infra is already laid in tunnels & stations. We‘r eagerly awaiting telcos to overcome their resistance & provide connectivity.
In the 18-19th century, the seven islands of Mumbai were stitched into one city. In the 21st, that fabric is now being woven even tighter — with a new-age Metro gliding beneath them. Its tunnels pass under what was once a fortified town, later Hornby Road of Governor William

The Talibani press conference was held at the Afghan Embassy - that is to say LEGALLY Afghan territory, where Afghan laws and norms apply. If you don’t know how that works you shouldn’t be talking about foreign policy or law. So please shut up!

And most of those outraging have been very happy to associate with @newslaundry - a despicable organisation which attacks victims of sexual assault and normalises the rape of underage girls. First look in the mirror at your filthy, two faced, ugly, hypocritical selves.

As if the countries that have fought with the Taliban have done so because of the Gender issue!
‘Pragmatism’ that so easily gives us - India- a hall pass to stand on the wrong side of history. #GenderApartheid #Taliban #India #women …. What a shame !!!

This person appears on TV channels. He doesn't know that embassies are sovereign territory of the respective country where their laws/rules apply. The fault of course is the T.V. channels who invite him.
So the Taliban foreign Minister wanted woman journalists excluded from his press conference and the Indian Government meekly agreed??? And our male journalists had no problem attending the event which their female colleagues were excluded from? That we have to engage with the

No women at a Taliban press conference — or the Taliban signing a deal ensuring that Afghan soil won’t be used for cross-border terrorism against India? Let’s be clear: India cannot — and should not — endorse the Taliban’s rigid Deobandi-Hanafi interpretation of Islam that

The "complicity of the Indian Govt"? The Afghan Embassy is sovereign Afghan territory! Their laws apply. If you are an imbecile, don't flaunt your imbecility so openly.
Other than the appaling complicity by Indian government in this horrendous discrimination, I keep wondering why male journalists didn't boycott the press meet if they too were "outraged", as several of them claimed on their social media. This was their chance to take a stand.

This clever but dishonest one knows about Embassies being sovereign territory but will still argue that India could have pressurised them to accept women journalists. No wonder this shrieking lot is so discredited.
The Taliban would not be in a position to dictate terms on a state visit to India. It is the Indian government that must answer as to why they think the basic dignity of women in this country can be tossed aside at will for diplomatic gain.
