Academic articles should be accessible. I have made nearly all my publications (on autism, such as supporting autistic people's quality of life in practical domains e.g. employment, neurodiveristy and identity, traits and stimming) freely available here:

Thanks, but don't trust AI. ;) I don't essentialize communication but emphasize interaction happens *between* ppl: https://t.co/yoIHg9wp3e I have long said (e.g. here in 2011) "How can a 'deficit' in 'reciprocity' or 'relationships' lie in just 1 person?"

I delivered a webinar for AutCom on Challenging the ‘Profound Autism’ Label: https://t.co/vBr3ZFko8l (recording). Subtyping into "profound autism" lacks scientific validity & weakens community power for us to seek the systems change autistic people need for personalized support.

The UK created the eugenics movement and is a country relatively nonchalant about death (e.g. people walking their dogs in cemeteries as a daily habit, look on the bright side of death, the origin of Death Cafés) and its "assisted dying" policy will kill many disabled people.

This social regression that we have seen really needs to be put under a microscope because really it should be a lot less acceptable than it is to be like "reasonable accomodations for disabilities and are bad actually, here's my uneducated opinion"

Calling extra exam time ‘unhealthy’ for autistic & ADHD kids is like calling ramps ‘unhealthy’ for wheelchair users. It’s not coddling — it’s access. The problem isn’t the accommodation, it’s a system built for one kind of brain and punishing to everyone else.

Autism advocacy has changed in recent decades, but fundamentally the dynamic is still that a demagogue preys on fears to offer false causation & 'treatment'. Somehow at a time when trust in government has plummeted, people listen to someone with no scientific or medical training
