Most of all, I’d like to thank my hosts Mr. Anand Segar and Mr. Haemish Crawford, who really made me feel like royalty for the week. Both of you are consummate surgeons and gentlemen. Look forward to seeing any of my new Kiwi friends in LA—happy to return the favor.

The dinner at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron was amazing, and I got to see the America’s Cup! The boat rides were epic, and the hill climb up Rangitoto Island was an adventure I will never forget.

I was able to give a few talks on complex spine surgery, anterior vertebral body tethering, and mentoring. I had the honor of judging the residency research day and we had some amazing papers presented. But I learned more than I taught, yet again.

It was one of the biggest honors of my career to be the Ross Nicholson Invited Visiting Professor for Starship Children’s Hospital & New Zealand Orthopaedic Association/Residency. New Zealand may be the prettiest country I have ever seen, with some of the friendliest people.

Just wrapped up in Barcelona at the 59th @SRS_org Annual Meeting. Learned so much! The best part was seeing my friends from around the world. These meetings make me a better surgeon and make me excited to help more patients with scoliosis. Look forward to the next one! #srsam24

This is an awesome study that helps give patients and surgeons real data to understand risk of progression of scoliosis depending on curve size and Sanders score (growth potential). Congrats to @JaxScoliosisDoc for his hard work and thoughtfulness about this paper!.

This is a 11 year old w/syndromic scoliosis from a mitochondrial abnormality. Very stiff curve corrected w/temp internal distraction, Pontes, & dual rod reduction. Alignment was improved in all three planes. Six months and doing great. @shrinerssocal @shrinershospitals #scoliosis

The @POSNA_org Leadership Program has come to an end and it has been an amazing ride. Incredible mentors and colleagues helped to provide a once in a lifetime experience. But more importantly, we forged friendships that will last forever!

Highly recommend this program to all of my pediatric orthopedic colleagues. It’s one of the most rewarding things I have ever done in my career. I’ve grown so much as a person and leader from it. Also got to really bond with my leadership classmates. 10/10 would do again!.

Late repost but this was an amazing meeting. Some of the smartest minds thinking about how to better treat #scoliosis. Great seeing the new faces as well, like @CraigLouer and @doctabrooks with awesome new research ideas!.

Thank you @LAmag and all of my peers who nominated me to this list! Although I don’t do my job for the platitudes, it is nice to get recognized for working so hard for my patients. Leading our medical center and taking care of children in need is my life’s mission.
