From chess to business to your personal life, it’s almost always worse to analyze a single option 10 moves deep than it is to analyze 10 options 1 move deep. Don’t fall in love with your plans. The more you think about a single one, the worse it probably is. Zoom out. Consider

Very important to understand: Maintaining optionality is, itself, very costly, bc, by delaying commitment, you miss out on compounding, and compounding is the most powerful force in business (& life).

"The new $500 million bridge over Cow Creek on FM 1431 opened to traffic late Tuesday morning." What do we think: A. Insane amounts of graft B. Innumerate reporting This is a simple short concrete bridge in Texas. $2 million to build maximum.

It's surprising how few people play real life like it's Starcraft. APM matters a lot. If you play life this way you will do well, because almost no one else is.

I feel like we all gotta be more generous with our gifts. Maybe this is the consequence of degraded community. Everyone kinda does their thing and keeps it all to themselves. Share what you are good at, with everyone. We need each other. Idk how we find this again without a
