Thank you @HannahThibedeau for the chance to talk about the crisis facing our children. I get a bit emotional. As a healthcare worker, the thought of children dying and the fact that we aren't doing anything is soul crushing. Please. Protect our children. https://t.co/wYtCQHctBE

And now we are here, the final night…This candle honors the physicians who kept lighting despite exhaustion, despite knowing that tomorrow looks exactly like today. The miracle was never the oil. It was the choice to keep going. https://t.co/11AY1rRhFc via @somedocs

I say this as someone for whom this is my profession: elimination of a disease is not the same as eradication. When a country has eliminated measles, it means that cases still occur, but do not result in SUSTAINED ongoing outbreaks, because vaccination levels are high. [1/3]

Canada has lost its measles elimination status...a sad milestone. Now is the time to double down on lowering barriers to routine childhood immunizations and ensuring Canadians have access to credible, science-based information. Link: https://t.co/JbALpkKWSW

Serious warning to all Canadian physicians. Scammers are calling hospital locating and getting through to MDs pretending they are the RCMP investigating stolen identity and illicit drugs with the prescribers College identity. @cpso_ca @OntariosDoctors @CMA_Docs @rcmpgrcpolice

I spoke with @globalbc this morning about respiratory virus season. 🦠 Flu, COVID & RSV are rising in BC. Get vaccinated to prevent serious illness, and wear a mask in crowded indoor spaces, on transit & in healthcare settings. 💉😷 https://t.co/xwuY00dPWW #bcpoli

Medical experts across the world and across specialties agree: acetaminophen is safe to use in pregnancy when used as directed. As always, speak with your own physician about your own medical health concerns.

There is no conclusive evidence that using Acetaminophen during pregnancy causes autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders. Acetaminophen is safe in pregnancy. @GovCanHealth

Please. Make sure you and your loved ones are vaccinated against measles. Measles is one of the most contagious diseases and is not always a benign illness. #bcpoli @GlobalBC

Summer camp operators are (rightfully) not permitting kids not vaccinated with MMR to attend their camps. This is sensible since one case of #measles can infect up to 20 others. The cause is lower rates of MMR vaccination increasing the number of susceptible people.

In the aftermath of the Lapu Lapu Festival tragedy, it's worth sharing that research suggests playing Tetris shortly after witnessing trauma may⬇️risk of PTSD by disrupting visual memory consolidation. Not a treatment, but could help survivors & witnesses.

Users of online forums frequently advise others to play Tetris if they’ve experienced something traumatic. The idea does come from psychological research – here’s what the evidence says.

Pagdadalamhati. It’s the Tagalog word for grief & mourning. The Lapu Lapu Day Festival was a celebration of 🇵🇭 spirit & culture, but ended in a senseless tragedy. I mourn with my kababayan, grieving the lives taken too soon. Matatag ang Pilipino. Even in tragedy, we stand strong.

Please get your measles shot. You and your kids are 98% protected with the MMR vaccine. The vaccine had been around since 1996 and it is extremely safe. Don't mess around with measles!
