US is the same as UK! This is mostly reversion to mean after a big spike in 2022.
Some try to look at this as the cannibalization of human jobs by AI but the reality is more pedestrian. These jobs started disappearing after 2022 when the UK regulators became unpredictable, making capital investment there by technology companies a bad idea.
