Today’s Real Good Deal Stakes at Del Mar is named after a very good horse. I took care of him at Old English Rancho. He might’ve been the heaviest horse I was ever around, built like a Brahma Bull. Cool dude, though, and I think of him fondly every year they run this stakes.
