@ClareGerada Do you really think slagging off your secondary colleagues/calling out their actions on twitter is the best way to resolve a dispute. Enough of the us and them. We're all busy, over stretched and at breaking point. Given your 38 years experience show the same level of maturity

Today's announcement by WG saying patients can/should be discharged without the care packages they require reflects the dire state we are in. Worryingly it also shows a lack of understanding as to what this means for clinicians when complaints/litigation/GMC referrals come in 🤔

Start of a busy few days in Santiago, Spain learning all things EUS and Pancreatic insufficiency. Not the best of starts with an alarm failure at 4am and sprint through Gatwick followed by a bumpy blind landing in fog. Hopefully a calmer 3 days ahead!

From now on won't be commenting or making opinions known on the PA issue. Med twitter and elements of the general medical profession has become so toxic no point engaging. So glad docs are the solution to our crisis. Stick to pathology, rugby and bad takeaway choices in future

The end of a bloody tough week. Looking forward to the first weekend of downtime since New Year. This week once again shown me I haven't got great colleagues @CwmTafMorgannwg I've got great friends. Another weekend at home is going to suit me just fine 👍

Going to take a back seat on here for a while. For those who think I'm a traitor remember I was deputy chair UK BMA students, chair Welsh junior doctors BMA for 5 years and also a member of Welsh council and Welsh consultants committee. I love my job and my profession

Llongyfarchiadau enfawr I Owain. Massive congratulations to Owain who I'm lucky and proud to call my F1. A fantastic doctor and member of team Gastro at the Glam so even more unbelievable how he has excelled and achieved this accolade 👏👏 @CwmTafMorgannwg

I am in shock after reading the Queens honours list and not seeing a single person who I know that have worked their guts out over the last 6 months and will probably do so for at least another 6 months. 👏

Lovely dad-daughter moment tonight helping my little girl prepare for @Urdd having been selected for Llefaru Dan 8. She makes me look shy which is an achievement but lovely to see her smiling using our language. Told her how I was robbed doing Het Sam tan 25 yrs ago 😉

@branwenjeffreys Both my parents were teachers for over 30 years. I have been a governor at a superb school and seen the stress inspections cause. The system is not fit for purpose at present and hasn't been for year... It reeks of those who can teach, those who can't become an inspector
