What if we had @shadcn for backend components like db schemas and apis for auth, user management, permissions management, DMS, Blog, cron jobs. Collection of common functionality that is used in most websites which could then be added as a base with just one cli command.

According to TechEmpower benchmarks, php is faster than aspnetcore, how? Also, why is aot slower than non-aot version?

I've stopped writing commit messages manually, I always reach out to copilot for generating them and cut if description is too long. Anyone else?

New highs! Regular practice is what helping me reach my goals. Although, it has slowed down significantly after 60s but I'm hopeful it will all payoff.

By the way, the credit for the support goes to K (Kailash) and our tech team. I am just the guy who posts about all the FOSS stuff they do 😬 I'm only good at Excel, and that is an overstatement. 😬
We would like to thank @Nithin0dha for the $100k donation to FFmpeg (pending)! While this does not solve the funding problems behind FFmpeg and Open Source in general, it's a step forward to a sustainable future for Open Source Software.

I'm loving Youtube's new redesign. Feels progressive, bigger icons. Well thought transparent UI with accessibility in mind!

All the tech influencers, defending the ban action shows how double faced they are . Just last week they were hating on it and now they are out to defend it. They are also part of the problem of spammy PRs. The ban was justified. Thanks to GitHub!
a good reminder of the dangers when you let someone else host your life's work its ultimately theirs and they can pull the plug when they want

Hi @VisualStudio, with the latest version 11109.219, when I run web applications, they get stuck (everything is responsive). It is working in last version. I'm trying to report the issue on portal but it has it's own issues. Btw, I'm already logged in.

What an audacity to say “in good faith”!! When people have been calling it out from months, you didn’t even bulge a lil bit. Thanks for bringing global embarrassment, tarnishing our image forever!
tldr: tutorial is fine. will edit 5sec in good faith❤️ In reference to our Git tutorial, any Hindi-speaker will understand we used an example to tell learners NOT to do this “bad open-source practice”. The PR was never created in the tutorial and clearly told viewers repeatedly

Solution : - Generate similar words, descriptions for icons using LLMs. - Create vector embeddings out of it and store it in vector db like Chroma or QDrant. - Use semantic search for suggesting icons on website.

Project Idea - Make icons library like https://t.co/X2mS6hoCXJ vector searchable. Current Problem - It’s hard to find the icon if you don’t know it’s exact name. What if you could search for icons with similar words or action verbs?

Reminder that privacy is a myth. And I don’t trust this company at all.
@BrendanEich @panaizzz Turns out Comet leaks every single page you visit to their backend via the list-autosuggest endpoint EVEN if you disable "Help improve Comet". There’s no way to stop this. This goes beyond just failing to choose privacy-friendly defaults (a standard Brave holds itself to).
