A personal note. Nineteen years ago today, I underwent heart transplant surgery. I had suffered 2 heart attacks previously and was listed for a transplant in January. My wife, my hero, was pregnant at the time, and there was doubt I would live long enough to meet my child. 1/4

Today, 17 yrs ago, I received a heart transplant. If you are so inclined, please say a prayer for the family of my donor, and all donor families. It's quite amazing that these families can see thru their grief and look to help others.

For a country the size of Finland to provide this kind of help is a big deal.
