I love the way Chimamanda speaks and i wish i haf that confidence. Full Nigerian accent but completely understood. She doesnt switch accents to help other people understand or comfortable. Her mastery of the language, proper and articulate pronunciation of words is flawless.
@koreanforeigner
I love this explanation. I pretty much got this. But the complexity of watching shows from different cultures, in this hot tempered words, is that (esp with language differences), a lot of people wont get it. Nuance is lost in translation (subtitles).
@LateefSaka
I tweeted something about this. Slowing down, living a leisure life. Isnt that what old age is about. Enjoying the fruits of your past labours.
I need more friends who believe in sharing wealth. By this i mean, when you invest, tell me, let me also put money. Dont you know that life will be better if we are all rich? And this is not a sign for useless theives to be in my mentions.
I heard the biggest debtors are rich people. They withhold money at a whim. This attitude has scattered many a small business that was excited by orders or patronage by said rich person. Its stinky behaviour to me.
@onajitesays
@PhiloeEsq
Its a company started by one woman like this in Jos. It took her 6 years from idea to actualisation. Privately owned. Worst thing is she isnt even Nigerian talkless of APC. Tomato processing company.
@WalleLawal
I was discussing this today. Where do you even start to make an argument in front of this farcical situation? Its like trying to be serious with clowns. Because we all have mugu on our foreheads
@AGofTheWorld
@ShoutsAndMiras
@TeamTomatoJos
Im curious how you got funding for this... was it self funded, angel, crowd funded etc.... amazing business initiative and i truly hope you continue to succeed and grow!
@jasebyjason
Its funnt, a lot of Nigerians have said this, but to see someone thats not Nigerian capture the frustrations of so many of us validates it. Because sometimes i think a lot of us are too precious and not objective enough.
@WalleLawal
I think something that doesnt help is how the words immigrant, migrant and expat are used. Once classed as one of each, it comes with supposed connotations and stereotypes. Some racist and prejudiced.
@WalleLawal
Problem ia a lot of people dont know about the civil war because we only discuss it at home and in private. Not educate. So no discourse, debate or education. So no can learn anything from it. Looking at today, almost seema intentional
@sugabelly
You watch tjay tv shoe about their post natal centres? Straight from hospital tonfacility for weeks. Husband can stay with or visit, but its for new mums, including those that suffer a loss
@ozzyetomi
The problem is that, people will use this as a way to deter those struggling to speak up. A lot of the current narrative used to coerce people not to is that they will think they are lying. I dont know stats, but i assume there are more true but non prosecuted than false
Days like this i remember how like 10years ago, one babe said she would rather die than me marry before her, because i was more promiscuous and sexually open. Lowkey, she is still single sha. But if she marries soon, God bless her and her marriage.
@Jollz
Daddy, you know i love you right? And im your favourite child. Please can you invest in my mental health? I need to just chop life small, please.
@afalli
I have been saying this for a while. Everyone is talking about better use your vite well. But all potential candidates are from the same pool. There is no one out there ready to die on the line for a new Nigeria, hold their ideals till the end.
@ozzyetomi
I actually think that adoption as an afterthought, as in i cant have my own kids, is more of a problem. Because it already means it wasnt something you would have considered if you could have your own biological kids. And then if they are then able to have a child later...problem
@hey_ashiwel
@afalli
Im on the cremation bandwagon too! Made sure everyone that matters is aware. A lot of asian countries do this, saves space as well
@originalspin
She is amazing! Her work on uneven bars is literally like the best in the world. And she is also really awesome and consistent at the other apparatus too.
The way the girls are bullying/turned on Scott, is very mean girl/bully vibes. Catherine decided she didnt want him, became defensive, started attacking him and all of a sudden they all hate him. Ive seen this thing in IRL and its the only thing that makes sense.

1. He used his teeth a lot when kissing, and would literally be trying to chew my mouth.
2. The most "indifferent" experience. So mid that i was looking at my watch the entire time and annoyed i wasted my time. I didnt even hate it, pure mid.
@DamiElebe
Meanwhile there is a ridiculously expensive new terminal to the left of it, that does not connect to the main terminal and is still not being used. Lol
Every once in a while, i think of something that i think my dad would find interesting or follow up to a an ongoing conversation or debate or topic and want to tell him... then i remember. Then im sad and wistful, and then i smile and move on. Miss him! ❤️
If anyone remembers the EndSars FB page that was taken down for community violation, please send me the details ot screenshot. Cant find the tweet that initially flagged it.
@FaShionMaja
I dont think its disrespectful. I think its honest. They ask you the thing most people are thinking but are too 'aware' to ask. But when that kid asks, your ears are tingling cuz u finally get your answer.
@MsNemah
From my limited perspective, a lot of Women in Nigeria are part of the problem. All you need to do is remember all the "advice" certain aunties give, or the comments from other women when a woman is assaulted or raped. Im not sure our women are ready yet.
One thing social media (in a good way) is good for is finding community. This world is huge and people all over the world are diverse and yet similar. If you have an interest in something, you will realise that many people love it to. Facebook and reddit (imho) are great at this.
Serious question, why havent our parents generation figures out how to build a retirement community for themselves? Forget Nigerian culture, think realistically.
Tanya obvs seems to have some kind of beef with Kai and Sanam. Why does she keep having their names in her mouth? That she is surprised we love them as a couple over her and Shaq shows how disconnected they are, lol.

@ozzyetomi
As someone whos christmas party was cancelled because the wind started getting rough, i dont agree. They had civil engineers in the building, but because of potential strond winds the cancelled a party planned for 6k ppl, with performer/artists, food etc.
@WalleLawal
I can only say.... sorry ehn. I know ppl that died on the line to stay and collect. Now have like 4 masters etc because they said they MUST collect. But flip side, know some ppl who spent mad buck to try and stay, degrees etc. Then one too many long naij holidays effed it up
@fkabudu
No planning i think. No rules of domestic vs commercial use, so its become a hodge podge of anything goes. Its what startes happening in Ikoyi too when they loosened the restrictions. I think only a few newer estates have kept a leash on commercial property use.
@EditiEffiong
But you know what, "pointlessly genedered" is right for so many things, and love that your kid is smart enough to recognise such things! Amazing!
@afalli
Me that ive gone skydiving many times, unless there is a rope holding that is securely fastened to a titanium pole embeded in the core of the earth, me i cant.
@bizzleosikoya
@burnaboy
Its such a wastes resource. Should be an arts centre, put in most up to date tech, go digital, host world class events. It also has no issue of parking or traffic due to location. Also uae the grounds more as a public space and have food vendors etc. Sooo much potential.
@bizzleosikoya
I dont think much will change till the promoters/hosts and organisers out their foot down and start being strict. Add clause to contract. Lock doors last entry, max lateness before cancellation or fee penalty etc
@notcapnamerica
There was some weird precedent set by the West (slavery) that pushed "black africans" to the bottom of the food chain, and all other races have adopted it. And gave them the excuse to look down on us, no matter what.
