The AACR is outraged by the widespread suffering and death due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. @AACR_CEO and @AACRPres join the world in calling for an immediate end to the aggression and for the protection of cancer patients, researchers, and providers.

New story: I've learnt of at least four journal publishers adopting AI software to automatedly flag duplicated images in papers, pre-publication. Still needs editorial oversight, but an early taste of how image-screening AI cld sweep through sector. (1/3)

Finally out after almost a year in the works is our Focus issue on Reporting and reproducibility in microscopy!! I can only describe this as a labor of love on the parts of the authors, referees, and our team, and we're so pleased to share this with you all.
We are thrilled to share the December issue Focus on Reporting and Reproducibility in Microscopy, which went live last Friday! This thread will introduce the Focus and each piece! https://t.co/ZFlOFCbOHh

Is cancer biology research reproducible? After a decade of work, the answer still isn’t clear. What is clear is that researchers aren't good at describing how they did their study. This is improving, but we need to do better! https://t.co/ZS53TfLFEX via @statnews

Researchers spent nearly a decade trying to replicate the results from 50 different cancer studies. Their findings paint a complicated picture of reproducibility.

To improve author reporting of experimental methods and increase #reproducibility, the @AACR journals will no longer constrain authors by including the methods section when calculating manuscript/article length.

Excellent news! CRediT (human- and machine-readable contributions) is the foundation for consistent recognition of diverse roles in team science, and you know, all the 5th authors who are so essential to the work! It needs support to evolve and better serve varied disciplines.
The CRediT Steering Committee, together with @NISOInfo, is very pleased to announce generous funding via @SloanFoundation and @wellcometrust. 🎉👏🥳 https://t.co/tXO4ku6sVo

We just completed transitioning all the @AACR journals to CRediT @contrib_roles using a new workflow in our submission system and a newly designed Author Contributions section. So much better than the old system! Example courtesy of @BCD_AACR

Nice job! This looks like a very useful new resource to assist authors and journals in reporting the details of animal studies and consequently improving the reproducibility of their published articles.
Today, the German Centre for the Protection of Laboratory Animals at @BfRen opens the freely accessible #animalstudyregistry to strengthen #science worldwide and improve the #reproducibility of the #biomedical scientific process! Register your study at https://t.co/x1ciHWIGSd
