As further proof of faith being restored to the @Commanders org by the Josh Harris ownership, the family of @Snide_Remarks has been invited to Sunday’s opener, where there’ll also be a tribute to Rick in the press box and moment of silence on the video board. Class. Class. Class.

There’s a chapter in @Snide_Remarks’ “100 Things Redskins” book about Thomas wanting No. 33. That was Sam Baugh’s number, the only one retired by the team. Baugh gave permission, but the team lied to Thomas, denied his request. A former Cowboy wouldn’t be wearing the hallowed 33.

It’s high season for varmintry.
We asked 57 players what their best purchase was with their NIL money. Got some fascinating answers. Texas Tech QB Behren Morton is Tim Riggins. #TexasForever.

My man @Snide_Remarks had prolific range. Here, the “Hail to RFK” and “America’s Rivalry” books were his first titles in the late ’90s. His tour guide primer aimed to attract more people to the industry. “Final Form of Love” was among the numerous faith-based projects he pursued.

Here’s a sampling of recent @Snide_Remarks books that you can purchase on Amazon. The “100 Things Commanders” title is an update to his “100 Things Redskins” book from 2014. That title is out of print but pops up on eBay now and then. The Jayden Daniels kids book lands Sept. 23.

My man @Snide_Remarks was prolific in many ways: sportswriter, Realtor, tour guide, you name it. He wasn’t afraid of work. He self-published books, and had successful titles like “100 Things Redskins.” His last book is this kids title from Triumph, coming Sept. 23.

On the day of his stroke, my man @Snide_Remarks had a very active day of tweeting. It’s worth reviewing, with some cornponery.

Godspeed to @Snide_Remarks, the hardest-working guy I know. Rick suffered a stroke Aug. 11 and died peacefully this afternoon. We were friends for 38 years, worked on many projects together, and rarely went more than a few days without staying in touch. I’m devasted by this loss.

My favorite cat turned 33 years old this summer. She's old and tired and dirty and not in the best health, but at 186,000 miles, the Ol’ Panther is still sleek and draws plenty of attention on pretty days when we’re out and about. @Toyota #1992CelicaGTconvertible

Smart observation.
If the #Commanders truly feel “blindsided” by DC Council questions and potential delays, as Mayor Muriel Bowser said, putting the stadium deal in danger, then it’s time to give the ball to Magic Johnson, who has been riding the bench so far. My column.
