What’s the value of ICJ “advisory opinion” these days? “All countries legally obliged to comply”, like the European member countries were legally obliged to execute its warrants?.
Landmark ruling in the Advisory Opinion by the ICJ on Climate Change. 1.5 degree C is legally the Planetary limit. All countries are legally obliged to comply. Even fossil-fuel subsidies can be illegal. States have duty to solve the planet crisis and can be held accountable.

Fun-fact: The name of the river, Sawan or Soan, is literally based on the 5th month of the traditional Punjabi calendar marking the Monsoon season. Sawan is still used in the Nanakshahi calendar, coinciding with July/August. This river has been historically known for sudden.
Why is this happening in one of the most expensive housing communities in the country?. Well, it’s because DHA (along with Bahria Town) has spent more than two decades destroying the natural drainage of the Sawan river. For example, just next to DHA 5, the river’s flow was

And here it is folks, PMD “categorically clarifies that no Cloudburst occurred in Chakwal”. The DCs, WASAs and PDMAs in Punjab are actively causing disinformation, not realising that Real weather stations run by PMD also submit data to WMO, and they will not falsify data to hide
Not sure if anyone is noticing that WASA randomly gives 200mm+ rainfall in areas like Lakshmi Chowk between midnight and 4 am, and by 7 am there’s no water. These guys are pulling off miracles while everyone is sleeping. They are showing we are so resilient to extreme rainfall.

It’s absolutely mind-boggling how quickly a certain section of Pakistan jumps to copy fads from Dubai. The KLI city elite really needs to find actual hobbies.
Over 45 Padel Courts have opened in Karachi in the last 2 years. We now must question the implications of unregulated urban commercialization at the cost of marginalized public amenities, which is furthering the class divide by reinterpreting leisure as class symbolism (4/20)

I understand that the symbolism has a hidden message, that broadly aligns well with the Pro-Palestine gen-z & young adult demographic (which is now a majority). But given Hollywood’s track record to aligning with political views where it suits the majority for sales, only to be.
At first during Superman I was like “this can’t be about Palestine” until it was revealed the invading country is a US ally receiving billions in weapons sales from Lex Luthor and the ending resembles the 2018 Gaza border protests. Go see this movie. It is SO good 🙂‍↕️
