Three UK hitting peaks of 2.1 Gbps on 140 MHz n78 in an AONB! This site in Dorking had its backhaul upgraded after a RAN upgrade, and sets a new record for my 3 UK tests. Fabulous to see mmWave-like performance on Sub-6. There are benefits to NR CA than just "number go whee!"

Really lucky to have planned a trip to Copenhagen with about 24 hours notice to be on board the inaugural passenger service with @omDSB's new Talgo units. 🎉 Despite concerns about ride quality, these seem to be faring very well so far on this domestic journey. It'll be
This time with photos! DSB have soft-launched the Talgo sets into passenger service this afternoon, doing a one-off return trip from Osterport to Fredericia. Looks very smart... Photos from @davwheat_ who I'm meeting up with for the return journey later! (cc @seatsixtyone)

I thought I'd take the opportunity to put together a website emulation of these new clocks. Not too tricky at all! https://t.co/qabT8DQ0mG

Trainline launched an AI chatbot last week. I've uncovered flaws with it, among others, including: - Saying adults can travel using child tickets - Not knowing about railcard restrictions - Not knowing about routing restrictions By me for @ObserverUK: https://t.co/Maft279maW

Better late than never... my post, that is! 845 miles, and 14 hours 59 minutes covered on a single Voyager. Success, with a 9 minute delay picked up from a late running local service around Newton Abbot. @GWRHelp's sleeper held at Penzance to allow customers to connect back up

Well over half-way into the journey, and we're at Birmingham New Street having travelled 477 miles so far. 5 hours 21 minutes to go. We appear to be, slightly worryingly, missing a train manager at the moment though!

Welcome on board this @CrossCountryUK service to Aberdeen... and then Penzance. 14 hours 49 minutes to go. After failing my first attempt a year or two ago due to engineering works, and then hearing of the service's demise, I had to give it another go. Following people doing

While I'd normally pick a lie in over an early (for me) morning train, it's hard to deny the views can be spectacular.

Very lucky to have an opportunity to visit King's Cross Thameslink and the nearby abandoned tunnels (York Road and Maiden Lane curves). Huge thanks to Branch Line Society (@BLSFixtures) and Network Rail for making this possible!
