I told them to use a lighter shade of blue than Facebook, call it Twitter and have a bird as its symbol. Why do they always do what I say?

Pochard was a nice addition to the throng at Helston boating lake today. Both Lesser Scaup were still present, but no sign of the Greater Scaup reported yesterday. Over the road, a few Redwing plus large numbers of Starling pre-roost. @CBWPS1

Fantastic time to visit the Gwithian and Godrevy area right now. Red-necked Phalarope, Choughs, and this very approachable Snow Bunting were my personal highlights. @CBWPS1

St. Ives seawatch today was a corker! 20+ Grey Phals, I never had so many in one day before. Lots of Sabine's Gulls, 4 species of Skua, 3 species of Petrel, 4 species of Tern, Little Gulls, Kittiwakes, Sooties, Balearics, Scoters, Whimbrels and a few Common Dolphins. Superb.

East of Lizard Point on Sunday with AK wildlife. Managed to see my first Wilson's Petrel amongst all the European Stormies. Great, Sooty and Balearic were accompanied by 1,000 Manx or so. Bluefin Tuna created several 'blitzes' as the Captain called them. No Risso's, though...

Just had my first Swifts of the year over Redruth, Cornwall! @@CBWPS1
Got scaffolding going up this summer? STOP. CHECK. THINK SWIFTS.❗ These birds return to the same nest sites year after year, but scaffolding can block their way. If they're blocked from active nests, it’s illegal. Make space. Save a nest.
