Really done with the narrative about games being labelled as a poor/good advert for women's football. We are past that point now. Yes, the shoot-out was terrible but we have all see many a terrible shoot-out in the men's game. 7.4 million people tuned into watch that game back

Bob Geldof, self-styled saviour of Africa, did not invite African artists to Live Aid and now we learn that he did not trust an African leader to chair a landmark commission on aid. Such arrogance…

This post-match dissection is infuriating. Sometimes one group of 11 blokes plays better than the other 11. It’s not about fight or spirit or wanting it more. Spain are a very good team. Well played England, achieved beyond expectation imo. #EURO2024

Gareth Southgate becomes the first manager to take England to two major tournament finals. He is also the first to lead the team to a final outside of England. 🏴👏

The people of England are right to hate Gareth Southgate - he is teaching our children that good things might actually be possible. This flies in the face of English values.

Disgusting that Keir is holding a meeting here when he knows full well these rooms are traditionally reserved for parties.

London is a nicer city today 👋🏻
I am pleased I made the decision earlier this year to leave this sh1thole in anticipation of a @SadiqKhan victory. He has turned this once great city into a violent ghetto. I look forward to spending my days in what remains of this green and pleasant land from July. I will not

I hate to be pedantic (and no doubt this will mean I'll be labelled as one of those doomsters @KemiBadenoch is calling out here) but there's a few problems with the data the biz/trade sec is quoting here. When you correct them, the picture looks a little different... 🧵
Today I was pleased to update MPs on the latest trade data, summarised in a paper published by my department: https://t.co/Ax7dy89qVU. We don't hear enough about these facts and figures, but they should give everyone cause for celebration and renewed pride in our country. (1/2)

If you think this week was big for #GiveAnX, you’ve seen nothing yet. Get ready for Tuesday. It’s National Voter Registration Day and you’re not going to miss it. #NVRD #RegisterToVote @mylifemysay

A little history lesson for you. Every female pundit has fought harder to be coached, find a game, find a team, find the facilities and go up against a system that had banned her from it for years. Opinion is fine. Bullying, misogyny and asking women not to take up a space is not

There are two types of people in the world. Those who accept that Die Hard is clearly, self-evidently a (great) Christmas film and idiots.
