"It's been a crazy ride these past 9 years but I'm selling. I'm tired of hodling an asset that I'm always worried will crash, is bad for the environment, and could get stolen. FOR SALE: BMW M3 2009, 4.0 V-8 ENGINE, 420HP 0.3 BTC" (via u/BTC_Hadzija on Reddit)

The fact that the government (fed + state) takes over 40% of my income, of which 3/4 is spent giving free money and services to poorer people indicates that yes, the non-rich in aggregate have substantial political power they use to enrich themselves.
the idea that there are non-rich people that somehow have the ability to use the government to control you

Why the hell is Bloomberg still publishing "Bitcoin Tulip Bubble" crap in the year 2025? Embarrassing.

The private sector funds everything. EVERYTHING. There are no “government funded” services, departments, agencies or projects. The government has no money. The government only takes, borrows and spends money. A basic but disregarded truth.
A society is built by the people get up and go to work in the private sector. They fund everything: - Those who don’t work - Those who work for the state - The entire engine of the economy Government should protect them and limits itself.

Knotzis are just plebslop bcashers
Bitcoin Cash developers have studied economics. Bitcoin Core developers are ignorant of economics. https://t.co/TpMS8IMsJ0

The most urgent need in America right now is to rebalance our nation away from seniors, and towards the future. This isn’t a right, left or center issue. It’s what we must do to survive and compete as a nation.
In the US, if you look at our spending at the federal budget level, we spend 5x per capita on people over the age of 65 than we do for people under the age of 18. It shows you the priorities of a society. - @kearney_melissa

Late stage capitalism is really just early stage socialism. Every problem you blame on markets comes from the state’s power to interfere, distort, and pick winners. But instead of stopping and reflecting, socialists double down. The more government creates the very conditions
We are in late stage capitalism. Not the same thing. A few companies have gotten so big, they exert too much control over our lives and our government.

I really don’t understand people who are into Bitcoin but aren’t into guns. Bitcoin = sovereignty over your money Guns = sovereignty over your body

What's funny is that this is effectively a relay policy change (a clear upgrade) that Knotzis currently don't even know exists, what ancestor limit is or why it pertains to Bitcoin builders (ordinals in particular). They will eventually learn what it is, they will be surprised
For all BTC builders, to no longer worry about ancestor/descendant limit in favor of graph limit is such a simplification, as well as 64 being a much generous limit than previous 25 :)

Charles Hoskinson has such an intellectual inferiority complex he a) lied about having dropped out of a PhD program, while in a room with 0 other people with doctorates b) pays millions of dollars to put his name on research papers https://t.co/DunU6HBRHt

Sorry (I know the word isn't enough given the impact of my actions) Cardano folks, it was me who endangered the network with my careless action yesterday evening. It started off as a "let's see if I can reproduce the bad transaction" personal challenge and then I was dumb enough

Wow. Community notes are totally corrupted. I posted something objectively true. Cardano bots/shills post false community notes. Article cited in notes doesn’t validate any of the bullet point claims.

Through thick and thin I’ll be here. And have been the last 13 years. Your Bitcoin hodler spirit guide 👏 We’ve faced far darker moments in Bitcoin’s history. We’ll get through this one. Bitcoin’s long term value is still intact. Nothing has changed. No new FUD.

Dejavu? Mike Hearn, a former Bitcoin developer, rage quit in Jan 2016 and sold all his Bitcoin at $430.
Fwiw I have a similar sentiment and haven't made a purchase all year. This year is the first year I've ever put extra cash elsewhere and begun rotating out of Bitcoin. Confidence is lost until we can clearly route around compromised developers again. (I say again because we did
