Voter registrars *cannot register* undocumented immigrants. we can fill out the paperwork with anyone, if someone doesn't tell us their status, that's not our fault. We drop it in the box. And then the elections office determines their eligibility and rejects ineligible ppl.
After every investigation into voter fraud has turned up nothing, some high ranking Republicans in Texas have pivoted to a new talking point: undocumented immigrants are being registered to vote. But there is no real evidence and local officials, including conservatives, deny it.

He then followed it up by pitching that the city hold a small number of housing units for temporary relocations if an affordable development needs to redevelop or drasticly remodel an older building. Which is a good and interesting idea. Not sure what going on today.

I'm not live tweeting the city council work session, but I am watching it and the mayor just pushed back on guarantee tenant representation when folks get evicted bc "maybe someone is making $100/wk but buying $99 of lottery tickets a week". ???.
