Here's another example of overprotection in the real world: banning peanuts from schools caused kids antifragile immune systems to develop improperly, leading to peanut allergies, as @glukianoff and I wrote about. (Meanwhile no protections online)

The evidence from longitudinal studies is increasingly clear: heavy use of social media predicts later depression. We reviewed that here: https://t.co/YE8K7JsPVI and here's a new study, showing this for reading and memory, from @jasonmnagata https://t.co/PU5du7lDn8

We’ll never forget the lives we lost on September 11, 2001. Let’s continue to honor their memories, and the courage of our first responders who put themselves in harm’s way.

I'm old enough to remember when polio put my friends into iron lungs. We dutifully lined up at school to get vaccinated. We eradicated the disease. We protected the common good and saved lives. What RFK Jr. is doing to public health in America is a disgrace.

Did you know that school secretaries and caretakers aren't entitled to access pensions? They are the heart of our schools and I value their work. So, I signed the pledge to support their campaign for pensions. Will you sign too?

Absolutely unbelievable: the sitting HHS Secretary tried to pressure the Annals of Internal Medicine to retract the major Danish study of 1.2 M kids that found no harm from aluminum in vaccines. The journal refused. This isn’t just anti-science it is political interference.
