7b. Unlike STRASS-1 where neoadjuvant RT was the variable, STRASS-2 focused on neoadjuvant chemotherapy. #ASOchat

@AnnSurgOncol @JamesHoweV Acknowledging it’s an uncommon manifestation, but has there been any experience with peritoneal metastases of NET? Does response to PRRT differ for those with peritoneal disease? Any role for debulking prior to PRRT? #ASOchat

β€œYes, both SBNET and PNET patients had statistically significant improvements in PFS with PRRT, and OS was very close in SBNET patients (P=0.06). Smaller numbers may have contributed.” - Dr. Howe (@JamesHoweV) #ASOchat

@AMVillanoMD @AnnSurgOncol Retrospective data from the Netherlands also intriguing. Downstaging following PRRT is clearly possible, even at the tumor - vessel interface.

@AMVillanoMD @AnnSurgOncol Paging @spartelli, my go-to expert on the subject. He led the NEOLUPANET phase 2 trial. Preoperative PRRT certainly safe and can be done but will it improve overall outcomes as well as resectability? With the ORR seen, certainly something to think about

Today, we will discuss PRRT for GEP-NETs from a surgeon’s perspective. What is the surgeon’s role prior to PRRT for patients with gastroenteropancreatic NETs? #ASOchat
