my favorite part about DAOs is how there is so much thoughtful discussion around best practices and then nobody implements them and then people are like "see this is why DAOs don't work!"

Seeing lots of takes that go something like “DAOs shouldn’t be organized like companies; if you want a company just start a company” This makes no sense to me Org structure = how people organize to get stuff done Decentralization = spreading control with large group of people

Tokens are liquid a lot earlier than start-up equity. A start-up takes ~7 years to IPO, while a crypto org's token offering/ICO is almost immediate. Liquidity has a direct effect on an employee’s realizable compensation. What is realizable compensation and why does it matter?🧵
