When I first saw @truflation, it had a more than 40% bounce rate, poor data readability, inconsistent components, and mobile users struggled with navigation. Here's what I changed to make 30M+ data points usable, sticky, and trustworthy, without dumbing anything down:
The hardest part of designing for Truflation wasn’t visual polish. It was a cognitive load. 12+ inflation categories, daily updates, comparison toggles... People could see data. But not make decisions. So I designed a system: - Designed granular breakdowns and progressive

Designing a data protocol is like building a lighthouse. it has to shine clarity, even in the fog of complexity. Here’s how I helped @truflation turn 30M+ data points into something people actually use and become the go-to for real-time inflation data.

Join @ontologymachine and me for a protocol design workshop in Berlin in June! I will share my experience and process of designing a socio-technical protocol, and based on real-world examples, we will explore how you can think about creating yours.
* @ontologymachine & @kischiman will lead a hands-on workshop on socio-technical protocol design, no technical background needed. Using structured methods from design thinking, you’ll map behaviours, ideate rule sets, and build protocols that nudge toward positive

most of crypto is stuck in the "make it suck less" stage when you have to help someone new its pretty evident. the thing is not ready for most people UX wise the wording, the interfaces, the apps.... us familiar with it may see no issue, but there clearly is. so lets see it

UX wasn’t a “nice-to-have”; it became Beefy’s growth lever. Asking for everyone building in Web3, what other product nailed UX and saw real adoption gains?

💥 The results? Beefy now holds $263M+ TVL across 35 chains, making it one of the largest yield optimizers in DeFi. They outran competitors like Yearn Finance not by building “more,” but by making complex UX feel safe & simple.

💸 Problem: Risk and fees felt opaque. Users needed to trust before committing. 🔍 UX fixes: Risk scores → So users instantly understand and compare strategies by risk Transparent fees → Everything upfront. No surprises = more trust. Design takeaway: clarity builds

🧩 Problem: Users jumped across platforms to understand their positions, and new users felt overwhelmed. 🎯 UX fixes: Vault details page → One place for all decision-making info Contextual helpers → Tooltips & guides = less fear, more control Strategy details → No more

In 2020, yield farming felt like trying to assemble IKEA furniture but blindfolded. 🛠️🫣 You had tools but no instructions. Confusing dashboards. Unknown risks. Zero guidance. Then came Beefy Finance and a UX revamp that changed everything for multichain yield optimization.

One of the most exciting projects I've seen to date 🩵 Huge thanks to @deepwork_studio for making the connection, @bbeats1 for always being a joy to work with, and the @Scroll_ZKP community for being so welcoming.
We wanted to focus on building some different norms and standards for how we decide what to focus on with the delegates and communityb Excited for doing another Co-Creation Cycle in June and doing them twice a year to maximize focus and alignment. Huge thanks to @kineticsarah
