Native is a narrative studio for builders shaping a world of agency, craft, and belief. Native is anti-slop, pro-intention. Work is worship, and your work is the endless pursuit of truth. Founders are stewards of the environments we find ourselves in. The goal is to help a.

This is likely because being locally known means that you created value for your community. You can build a big audience online while providing zero value, but you can’t really get 10k people from your city to take you seriously unless you’re tapped into the city.

There are media businesses that have made a name for themselves by being a mouthpiece for a single big company (Apple, OpenAI, etc.). Lesson in there.

All of this is to say, work is valuable in its own right. If you’re stuck, just work. On anything. It doesn’t matter. Movement itself will build the momentum you need to figure out the right next step.

The only thing that changed was movement. I started doing stuff, even if it wasn’t the “best” idea. I had to make money. I had to do my job. And ideas just fell out of that relentless movement.

16yo me was limited by ideas. I read PG’s “How to Get Startup Ideas” dozens of times trying to find the thing I should work on. Now I can’t imagine ever running out of ideas. Ideas are so abundant that they feel like a burden.

My prediction re: Friend and other products like it:. 1. Many tech bros will thoughtlessly use Friend in public, pictures will go viral. 2. The lefty internet will erupt in outrage. “AI is already bad, now it’s listening to us at parties and at the park?”. 3. Technologists, who.

Only used my "Friend" for a couple hours, but a few observations:. - clearly *feels* different (especially from chatgpt voice) to talk to a thing you're wearing and must touch to get a response from. - voice in / text out is interesting and makes sense, although I don't love

Software is media. Companies are media. LLMs are materials we use to craft media. All are in pursuit of delivering a message.

LLMs are uniquely malleable. You can tweak prompts, reshape workflows, and adapt your org in real time, much faster than retraining an employee or hiring a new one. "AI-native" orgs are those that treat the company as clay and shape it to fit the market perfectly.

"We're heads down focused on letting the product speak for itself, we don't need anyone doing marketing.". If you say the above, one of two things is true:. (1) You're engaging in a lot of marketing activities that you don't realize are marketing. (2) You're gonna lose.
