On May 29, Popular Democracy (@popdemoc) abruptly announced a massive restructuring, including the lay off of 21 workers, effective mid-July. Twelve laid-off staff belong to our union, including some of Popular Democracy’s most experienced and longtime staff members.

Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse, was doing what nurses do best — taking action to protect his community — when he was killed by federal agents. Nurses are outraged by this heinous murder. It’s time to abolish ICE now!
