For 235 years, the census has counted every resident, regardless of immigration status. Trump's call to erase millions of people from the census is an intentional power grab to rig representation and starve communities of color of federal funds for critical services.

🧵 Any attempt to exclude non-citizens from the census is unconstitutional — point blank. The 14th Amendment is clear: Congressional representation must be based on a count of “the whole number of persons in each State,” not just citizens.
President Trump has ordered that work begin on a new census that excludes undocumented immigrants as redistricting battles spread across the country.
