“Contempt for voters” is a pure American media creation, never heard it used outside

Sounded like an American award
At the end of the day, this speaks volumes about the Liberal’s contempt for the very voters who sent a clear message at the ballot box in April. Canadians chose a minority government with a strong opposition precisely to demand accountability and transparency of an untested PM.

Finally wrote another one of these. Went down a very weird rabbit hole after I took a peek at Crockett's FEC filings. What's interesting to me is what they say about the fundraising ecosystem in the attention economy. Also just some weirdness that will probably get me yelled at.

Is this going to keep happening in every country from now through the end of time? Pre-2020 there were plenty of elections where cost of living didn’t feature 2017 Germany there was even a paper on how the economy basically didn’t matter to voters https://t.co/fXgHvmMsWh

This article demonstrates that the issue-yield concept is able to predict the electoral strategies of mainstream and challenger parties at the 2017 German federal election. While the electorate of ...
There is a hunger from the public for radicalism on costs - even policies like wide-ranging price and rent controls poll well nationally right now. That doesn't mean Democrats should embrace unworkable policies, but they have to meet the moment and embrace boldness on costs

In "winning a primary doesn't mean you can win the general election" news, Portugal's far-right leader André Ventura is likely to make the second round of the Portuguese election, but every poll has him losing by 40 to the centrist or center-right candidate

I'm making a think tank for the Canadian Conservative Party where I teach them how to be more socially liberal, anti-American, pro-deficit spending, and in tune with the Canadian moderate voter

So that's maybe why you saw that Trump +12 seat in Georgia flip and swings equal to New Jersey in places like TN-07. It's not as dramatic as Latino areas snapping back, but it will do damage.

Declines in Trump favorables for non-college Whites are even more dangerous for GOP seats than nonwhites @ElectionCord averages have less-educated voters showing larger approval declines. Trump is getting a gradual erosion w/Whites, but it's still going down.

In the latest YouGov survey, they asked about how participants will vote in 2026. I thought it would be interesting to look at what percentage of each demographic chose something other than Dems/Reps. Thought the results were pretty interesting, especially that 18-29 number.
