No one should be surprised by this. OKC raises the banner with Durant in the building. And LeBron-Curry is ratings gold. The only thing that made more sense was if the Mavs played out there, but since they're committed to an NBA Cup group stage game, that wasn't going to happen.

Just read the stats. That was the expected when Nolan (and other aces of the day) took the hill.
It was 35 years ago today (July 31, 1990) that Nolan Ryan became the 20th pitcher to win 300 games with an 11-3 victory at Milwaukee’s County Stadium. The Express threw 146 pitches in 7.2 frames with 8 Ks his 2nd try for #300. He had a ND on July 25 vs. NYY at Arlington Stadium.

I've seen and heard a lot of Earl Weaver moments through the years. Had never seen this one before now. It's typically brilliant. But kudos to the ump (Not sure who he is) with the all time comeback. Only downside to replay is that we lose moments like this.
It’s hard to believe this situation couldn’t be resolved amicably after Earl Weaver’s very reasonable opening position of “You’re here and this crew is here just to fuck us.”.

That's what an ACE does. Eovaldi has been all that all year. He didn't make the All Star team, but he's going to be Top 5 in the Cy Young race if he keeps this up, and I might be significantly underplaying that.
The Rangers are now 7-2 when Nathan Eovaldi starts in the game following a loss. In the two losses, Eovaldi surrendered 2 combined ER while the Rangers scored 1 combined run. Tonight? Eovaldi allowed 1 R in 7 IP. #BIGGAMENATE.
